Travel protocols for Baguio amended

Feb. 15, 2021 – Mayor Benjamin Magalong issued today Executive Order No. 21, 2021 updating entry protocols to the city.

Traveler-residents from the municipalities of La Trinidad-Itogon-Sablan-Tuba and Tublay (LISTT) have been exempted from the requirements such as registration to the HDF and medical certificate/clearance.

Executive Order 21, series of 2021 issued by Mayor Benjamin Magalong Feb. 15, 2021 spells out updated travel protocols for LISTT residents; non-resident government and private APORs; personal, leisure, non-work-related travels; Returning Baguio Residents (RBRs), Overseas Foreign Workers (OFWs); medical and non-medical emergency travelers, Drop and Go and Passing though only.

Under the new EO, public and private health workers coming to the city for work purposes, or those who cross city borders on a daily or weekly work-to-home and vice-versa basis will no longer be required to submit negative antigen or RT-PCR test results.

Cargo and logistic services for essential and non-essential goods and utilities for water, electricity, IT, telecommunications, fuel products and waste management shall be afforded unhampered passage, but may be subject to random inspection by the member of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Government agencies and those providing emergency services of humanitarian aid during times of typhoons or calamity shall also be afforded unhampered passage.

Earlier residents of the municipalities of La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba, and Tublay can enter the city to avail of essential goods and services upon the presentation of valid Medical Certificate/Medical Clearance in accordance with the BLISTT Joint Advisory issued on 26 January 2021.
