The City Government of Iriga, through the City Veterinary Office, is actively taking steps in improving livestock production through Estrous Synchronization (ES) and Artificial Insemination (AI).
They recently conducted ES/AI on 10 cattle in Brgy. Santiago and Del Rosario Banao. This is a tremendous help in increasing reproduction rate and improving the quality of the cattle of our locality. Additionally, they have also provided essential animal care such as deworming and vitamin injection on 84 heads of livestock. Six (6) livestock have also been added to the Animal Registry.
Thanks to the hard work of the City Veterinary Office, as well as the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office V led by Regional Executive Director Rodel P.Tornilla and the Regional Artificial Insemination Coordinators Noel Delminguez and Christian Barandol, our local farmers can continue to benefit from high-quality veterinary care for their livestock. We’re grateful to have such dedicated professionals working in our community. (Jv Navarro Verdeflor Jr.)
