Task Force On Dog Welfare

City Hall executives and animal welfare advocates hold a second meeting recently at the Old City Hall to discuss ways on how to improve the plight of the impounded dogs at the Bacolod City Pound.

The attendees are proposing to create an Animal Welfare Task Force that would formulate and implement plans and programs for the animal welfare in Bacolod City, and to ensure an effective coordination between LGUs and NGOs on animal welfare advocacies.

The group also agreed to have a regular meeting, evey last Tuesday of the month for monitoring and updating.

Leading the meeting are Executive Assistant Ernesto Pineda, cluster head for Sectoral Concerns; City Veterinary Office head Dr. Maria Agueda Trinidad Dela Torre,

OIC-City Pound Julius Galve, BACH Project Ph spokesperson Daniel Sam Salvatierra, and PAWSsion founder Malou Perez.

Joining them are Executive Assistant Meneil Lopez of Public Information Office, Leslie Garcia and Pedrito Cabuguason of CMO-Sectoral Concerns Office, and BACH Project Ph members Arlyn Perez and Liza Villanueva.
