In a joint effort to uplift tourism in the region, Province of Dinagat Islands Governor Nilo Demerey Jr. met with Surigao City Mayor Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II, accompanied by City Tourism Officer Roselyn Merlin in a meeting.
The meeting, attended by Tourism Officers and Tour Operators from various municipalities of Surigao del Norte and the Province of Dinagat Islands, centered on strengthening tourism endeavors. Discussions revolved around fostering collaborations to boost tourism development across both provinces.
They also discussed the “Suroy sa Surigao Tour Program,” where strategies were made to draw increased international visitors to Surigao del Norte, specifically in Surigao City and Dinagat Islands.
All participants committed to collaborating towards maximizing the tourist potential of Surigao City and Dinagat Islands, envisioning them as prime tourist hubs. (Mark James Lisondra)
