The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) recently held a momentous National Disaster Resilience Month, culminating in a distinguished awards ceremony, to pay tribute to the dedicated volunteers and contributors who gathered together during National Disaster Resilience Month in July 2023.
Marking the conclusion of a significant month-long endeavor focused on disaster readiness and community preparedness, the CDRRMO united local heroes and distinguished dignitaries to acknowledge their collective efforts.
Present during the culmination included Captain Primitivo D. Novo Jr., Commanding Officer of the 72nd Naval Group Reserve, City Traffic Officer-In-Charge Robert Paredes, and Gelbert Gonzalez, representing the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management.
Threlcie Villaces, the CDRRMO Officer, led the program which underscored the pivotal role of collaborative partnerships, extending gratitude to organizations such as the Bureau of Fire Protection, Quick Action Response Team, Kabalikat, and the Philippine Navy, whose steadfast commitment bolstered the shared mission.
As the community stands united in resilience, this event serves as a reminder of our shared dedication to building a stronger, more prepared Surigao City.
