Surigao city strengthens security with new SWAT van

    Under the leadership of Mayor Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II, the City Government of Surigao has elevated its law enforcement capabilities with a vital contribution: a specialized vehicle for the esteemed Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team.

    Present at the official handover was the Force Commander of 1st SDN Provincial Mobile Force Company PLTCOL Atty. Mariano C. Lukban and City PNP Chief PLTCOL Diomedes B. Cuadra Jr., This strategic addition enhances the city’s commitment to safeguarding residents and addressing escalating incidents of crime.

    Designed for protection, support, security, firepower, and rescue, the state-of-the-art SWAT van substantially empowers the SWAT team during high-risk police operations. Mayor Dumlao emphasized, “Our citizens’ safety is paramount. This resource equips our SWAT team to respond adeptly to demanding situations.”
