A newly created, highly mobile and tactical unit of PDEA CAR assisted by its Baguio City Office and Benguet Provincial Office and the Baguio City Police Office Station 10 arrested an errand boy in a buy-bust operation in Marcos Highway, Sto. Tomas Proper, Baguio City.
Citing reports from the Baguio CPO Director, PCol. Allen Rae F Co, one Jhunnel Fernadez Lozano, 24 years old, was arrested after he sold suspected illegal drugs to the anti-narcotics operatives who acted as poseur-buyer.
Confiscated during the operations are nine pieces of a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing MOL 50grams with an estimated value of Php 340,000.00 and the boodle money.
Onsite inventory was conducted in the presence of DOJ Representative Oliver Prudencio and Barangay Kagawad Ryan Baucas of Sto. Tomas Barangay, Baguio City.
The arrest came as PDEA CAR and PNP PROCOR unified its list of drug personalities affecting the Cordillera Region.
“This endeavor realigns, refocuses and recalibrates the anti-drug efforts of law enforcers with focus on accountability for the high value targets and high impact operation with the end goal of Barangay Drug Clearing mandate.” PDEA CAR Director Gil Castro said.
The suspect is now under the custody of PDEA while a case for violation of RA 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” is being readied against the suspect. PROCOR RPIO with reports from PDEA-CAR
