Man Arrested in Zamboanga City for Attempted Murder
Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Natividad St., Brgy Tetuan, Zamboanga City at about 10:00 AM of January 19, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Pilardo Arcillas Galvez, male, married, 62 years old, elementary graduate, resident of Brgy Tagasilay, Zamboanga City. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for attempted murder docketed under Criminal Case # 46739 issued by Hon. Judge Ronces Valles Filoteo, RTC Branch 32 dated January 15, 2021 with bail bond of Php120,000.00. He is now under the temporary custody of said police station for commitment to court.
Farmer Held in Labangan for the Crime of Frustrated Murder,
Police operatives of Mahayag Municipal Police Station led by PCPT Renante B Benitez and Labangan Municipal Police Station led by PMAJ Olympus Wee Bas conducted joint law enforcement operation against wanted person at Barangay Lower Campo Islam, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:00 AM of January 19, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Rolly Rosalina Mainar, 40 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of Barangay Lower Campo Islam, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the Crime of Frustrated Murder, docketed under Criminal Case # 2019-10-3693, dated December 11, 2020 issued by Hon. Analyn F Ramas-Costanilla, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur with bail bond of Php200,000.00. He is now under the temporary custody of Mahayag MPS for commitment to court.
Rape Suspect Arrested in Midsalip Law Enforcement Operation
Police personnel of Midsalip Municipal Police Station led by PMAJ Edgar R Hinoctan conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Purok 2, Barangay Buloron, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:10 PM of January 19, 2021. This resulted to the arrest of Emilio Alison Tumale Jr., 28 years old, single, male, farmer and a resident of aforementioned place. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the Crime of Rape in relation to RA 7610 docketed under Criminal Case # 20-10, 1817 dated December 11, 2021 issued by Hon. Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur with no bail bond. He is now under the temporary custody of Midsalip MPS for commitment to court.
RA 7610 Violator Arrested in Manukan
Police operatives of Manukan Municipal Police Station conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Brgy. Disakan, Manukan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:40 PM of January 19, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Marcos Linguis Yurong, 85 years old, male, widower, presently residing at the aforementioned place. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of RA 7610 (2 counts) docketed under Criminal Case # 24500 and Criminal Case # 24501, issued by Judge Jose Rene G. Dondoyano, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 7, Dipolog City, Zamboanga n Dated January 13, 2021, with bail bond of php36,000 each case. He is now under the temporary custody of Manukan MPS for commitment to court.
Farmer Caught in Midsalip for the Crime of Rape

The operation resulted to the arrest of Ariel Gilbolingo Urbano, 21 years old, male, married, farmer, and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Buloron, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur. This is by virtue of Arrest Warrant for the Crime of Rape in relation to RA 7610, docketed under Criminal Case # 20-10, 1818 dated December 11, 2021, issued by Hon. Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur with no bail bond. He is now under the temporary custody of Midsalip MPS for commitment to court.
Farmer Captured in Kalawit for the Crime of Rape
Police personnel of Alicia Municipal Police Station led by PMAJ Raul Talan Clavecilla conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Brgy Marcelo, Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:50 PM of January 19, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Orlando Mendoza Santiago, 37 years old, male, farmer, resident of Brgy Dawa Dawa, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay Province. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for the Crime of Rape (Article 226-a of R.A 8353) docketed under Criminal Case # im-20-2078 issued by Hon. Jeric Kagaoan, Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Court, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay dated July 13, 2020 with no bail recommended. The arrested accused is now under the temporary custody of Alicia MPS for commitment to court.
Male Dead Body Found in Zamboanga City
A male dead body was found at a forested area of Sitio Merloquet, Brgy Sibulao, Zamboanga City at about 10:15 AM of January 19, 2021. Investigation disclosed that victim identified as Jay-Ar Tuminez Mendoza, 23 years old, male, married, resident of Sitio Balabag, Brgy Sibulao, Zamboanga City was seen in a prone position at the bottom of the cliff while also his carabao fell from other side of the cliff. Further investigation disclosed that at about 4:00 PM of January 18, 2021, the victim allegedly under the influence of liquor was last seen riding on his carabao and proceeded to the forested area. The victim sustained injuries on his head and bruises on different parts of his body. The cadaver will be brought by his family to Gamalinda Fuberal Homes, Brgy Vitali, Zamboanga City.
Male Dead Body Found in Zamboanga Del Sur
Male dead body was found floating at the river of Barangay Bagalupa, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 PM of January 19, 2021. PNP personnel of Labangan MPS together with Romeo P Castillo, RHU personnel, proceeded to the reported place of incident and conducted investigation. Initial investigation disclosed that one unidentified male cadaver wearing black shirt, stripe pants, medium built, estimated height of 5’4 and 40 to 50 years old was found floating lifeless at the aforementioned river. Investigation revealed that based on the findings of Dr. Romeo P. Castillo, the cause of death believed to be drowning. PNP personnel of Labangan MPS still conducting thorough investigation to possibly determine the circumstances surrounding his death as well as to identify the victim and inform his immediate family. The cadaver now lay at Barangay Hall of Bagalupa, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur.
Php34,000.00 Shabu Seized in Zamboanga Drug Buy Bust Operation
Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 9 led by PCPT Orlyn P. Leyte conducted buy-bust operation at Sampaguita Uro Drive, Brgy. Guiwan, Zamboanga City at about 1:00 AM of January 19, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Nerissa Aizon Sojor, 38 years old, female, single, jobless, elementary graduate, resident of Sampaguita Uro Drive, Brgy. Guiwan, Zamboanga City. Confiscated during the operation were nine (9) sachets of suspected shabu with estimated ddb market value of Php34,000.00 weighing more or less 4 grams, one transparent plastic container and two pieces of Php100.00 bill as marked money. He is now under the temporary custody of said police station for proper disposition.
