Suicide incident occurred at Brgy. Población South, Pinan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:00 AM of August 24, 2020, wherein a dead body of a male person identified as Alvin Ynot Elcamel, 35 years old, single, and a resident of was found lifelessly hanged at the entrance door of his room.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the father of the victim identified as Ronaldo Samson Elcamel, 58 years old, married and a resident of Brgy. Villarico, Pinan, Zamboanga Del Norte was about to enter the rented house he discovered his son was lifelessly hanged at the door jamb of his room using a piece of blanket and tied on his neck. That after witnessing the incident, the aforementioned father hurriedly released the victim and unleashed from the tied blanket.
Victim was brought to Pinan District Hospital by the MDRRMC ambulance subjected to post mortem examination to determine the cause of his death. Post mortem examination was conducted to the cadaver of the victim identified as Alvin Ynot Elcamel by the attending physician Dr. Jose Abeso Noriega, noted the cause of death was due to cardio respiratory second degree to asphyxia by strangulation (suicidal).
Further, per information gathered by the investigator on case thru interview conducted to the father of the victim states that, victim incurred serious financial debts involving large sum of money which could be a reason to commit suicide.
