Police operatives of Payao Municipal Police Station (MPS) were able to recovered 21 pieces of assorted sizes of lumbers (lumbayao species) at Purok 3, Brgy. Upper Sumilong, Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 12:30 PM of August 24, 2020.
PNP personnel of Payao MPS coordinated to the personnel of CENRO-Imelda and accounted the recovered lumbers, upon scaling and assessment by the forest rangers of CENRO-Imelda, it comes up that the estimated value of confiscated lumbers is ₱ 1, 765.00 with a total of 835.3 board feet.
The recovered lumbers are now temporarily under the custody of Carmelito Salabe, Barangay Official of Upper Sumilong, Payao upon delegation by the personnel of CENRO-Imelda, Forest Ranger Mr. Rofel L. Araneta.
The owner of mentioned lumbers is yet to be identified after the locals pointed that a certain male person from neighboring municipality.
