Police personnel or RT Lim Municipal Police Station responded to the incident after four houses were damaged at Purok Labuyo, Brgy. Gango, Rt Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay Province due to strong winds from tropical depression “Vicky”.
Initial investigation disclosed that at about 1:45 PM of December 19, 2020, a strong wind (ipo-ipo) due to tropical depression Vicky come across the said village that lasted more or less 2 hours that resulted to the damaged of the houses which are made of light materials.
The responding team coordinated with RT LIM LDRRMC and made initial assessment to the house of Arsenio Gomez, 42 years old, with estimated damage amounting to ₱ 50,000.00; Genelyn Gomez, 40 years old, with estimated damaged of ₱ 20,000.00; Elizalde Locaberte, 38 years old, with estimated damaged of ₱ 8,000.00; and Rosalia Pintor, 26 years old, with estimated damaged of ₱ 15,000.00, all fisherman/seaweeds farmer and a resident of aforementioned place.
Further, no reported injury or casualty during the said incident. The victims were brought to Brgy. Gango Hall in coordination with RT Lim LDRRMC and MSWDO for proper disposition.(PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
