Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Molave, Brgy. Sulangon, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte at 7:30 PM of September 23, 2020. The victim was identified as Emerson Grape Tagapan, 23 years old, male, single, and a resident of Brgy. San Antonio, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte while the suspect was identified as Crisostomo Soliva Labadlabad, 38 years old, male, married a resident of Brgy. Sulangon, Dapitan City.
Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident; the suspect and the victim were having a drinking session in a birthday celebration at the residence of Ryan Gripaldian Balladares located at the abovementioned place, wherein moments later, suspect and the victim engaged in a heated argument that prompted the suspect to draw his knife and stab the victim.
The victim sustained stab wounds on the left portion of his body and his back and was brought by the responding CDRRMC ambulance to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. The suspect fled the scene after the incident.
Alert team and Intel operatives of Dapitan City Police Station conducted hot pursuit operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect at about 8:00 PM of same date at Brgy. Polo, Dapitan City.
He is now under the temporary custody of Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.
