Stabbing incident transpired at Purok 9, Datu Panas, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 2:35 AM of October 4, 2020, wherein the victim identified as Joemar Depesta, 26 years old, single, a resident of the said place was stabbed by suspect identified as Jomarie Dojo Nesas, 28 years old., single, a resident of So. Tampilisan, Labrador, Buug.
Immediately, PNP personnel of Buug Municipal Police Station (MPS) proceeded to the place of incident to verify the veracity of the report. Upon investigation, the victim sustained one stabbed wound on his upper part of left abdomen that resulted to his untimely death. However, the suspect immediately fled away going to his grandmother’s house in nearby place where he was invited to the police station by the responding PNP personnel from Buug MPS.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect was pinpointed by the witness who actually saw the incident. Immediately, the victim was brought to St. John Hospital for medical treatment but declared DOA by the attending physician.
The arrested suspect is now under the temporary custody of Buug MPS for proper disposition.
