Hacking incident transpired at Sitio Aplaya, Brgy. Manicahan, Zamboanga City at about 5:40 PM of October 4, 2020. The victim was identified as Jayson Perez, legal age, male, while suspect identified as Noel Manuel, legal age, male, both are residents of Brgy. Manicahan, Zamboanga City who was immediately arrested with the help of the Barangay Tanod of Brgy. Manicahan.
Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident said victim and suspect had a heated argument. During that moment, said suspect was already carrying a bolo whereas without hesitation he hacked the said victim, who sustained a hack wound on his left chest and was brought immediately to Mindanao Sanitarium Hospital for necessary medical attention.
Further, said suspect is presently under the temporary custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 for proper disposition. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
