Shooting incident occurred at Sitio San Roque, Brgy. Busay, Isabela City, Basilan at 7:00 PM of September 8, 2020. Victim was identified as Salvar Galleposo Umla, 35 years old, and resident of Brgy. Port Area, Isabela City. He was brought and admitted at Basilan General Hospital.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, victim was about to keep his pastured cow at the abovementioned place with certain “ommok” later identified as Abdulhassan Sulaiman, a native of Sumisip, Basilan and upon reaching at the place of incident the suspect pulled a gun and shot the victim’s back which exited on the chest that prompted the victim to run and ask for help while the suspect managed to escape.
PNP personnel of Isabela City Police Station are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the arrest of suspect. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
