Shooting incident transpired at Midsalip Infirmary Hospital, Purok 7, Brgy. Bacahan, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 PM of October 4, 2020. The victim was identified as Alfredo Hasma Gomez Jr, 40 years old, married, male, fire volunteer of BFP of Midsalip Municipality and presently residing at Purok 3, Brgy. Bacahan, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur.
Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was riding his single motorcycle XRM 110 color black from Brgy. Barubuhan Municipality of Sominot towards his residence and upon reaching in front of the house of certain Benvinido Placido and was about to parked, suddenly a motor riding suspects appeared and shot the victim several times. The victim sustained gunshot wound on the different parts of his body and was brought to Midsalip Infirmary Hospital for medical treatment while the suspects fled towards the direction of Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur.
Recovered from the crime scene were seven empty shell and two fired bullets believed to be of caliber .45 pistol.
PNP personnel of Midsalip Municipal Police Station are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible identity and arrest of the suspects. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
