Surigao del Norte (SDN) – Police Colonel Noel C. Espinoza, Provincial Director (PD) of Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office disclosed that a total of 77 individuals were arrested due to the consummate Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) of his men and women on the ground.
Out of the of the 77 individuals arrested; 10 were Most Wanted Persons (MWP),24 other Wanted Persons, 1 Communist Terrorist Group member, 1 in Loose Firearms, 2 in Illegal Drugs; 27 Illegal Fishers, 12 Illegal Gamblers ,and 1 Illegal Logger that were put behind bars by the operatives. On the other hand, 1 CTG personality surrendered to police authorities.
On the Campaign against Wanted Persons 39 Warrants of Arrest were implemented that subsequently led to the arrest of 10 Most
Wanted Persons (1 Regional, 3 Provincial, 6 Municipal Level) and 24 other wanted persons (1 Periodic Status Report listed).
One was arrested in the Campaign against Loose Firearms and confiscation of the following: four Firearms, assorted ammunition, rifle grenade and hand grenade (1 buy-bust, 1 recovered, 2 turned-in)
While two drug personalities were collared in Anti-illegal Drugs Operation.
A total of 40 suspects were made to face the law due to Illegal Fishing (27) , Illegal Gambling (12) and Illegal Logging (1) .
Sison Municipal Police Stations (MPS), SDN Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) and Saint Bernard MPS arrested Regine T. Remandaban in Purok 2, Barangay Upper Patag, Sison, SDN. Remandbadan is listed as Top 5 MWP in Regional Level in Southern Leyte.
Warrant of Arrest for Attempted Murder under criminal case number 2678, dated June 03, 2019 with recommended bail of Php120,000.00 was issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) , 8th Judicial Region, Branch 26, Bulwagan ng Katarungan, San Juan, Southern Leyte.
Manhunt Charlie Operation of Del Carmen MPS arrested Patrick C. Elardo, Top 2 MWP Provincial Level, 18 years old and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Cabugao, Del Carmen, SDN under Case Operational Plan (COPLAN) “ELARDO”.
Warrant of Arrest for Rape (RPC ART 266-A) docketed under Criminal Case No. 21-117 dated September 15, 2021 with no bail recommended was issued by RTC, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 34, Dapa, SDN.
COPLAN LAUSA of Del Carmen MPS led to the arrest of Top 3 MWP (Provincial Level) TNW, 17, a resident of Del Carmen, SDN by virtue of Warrant of Arrest under Criminal Case No. 21-117 dated September 15, 2021 with no bail recommended issued by RTC, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 34, Dapa, SDN.
1st SDN Provincial Mobile Force Company and Surigao City Police Station arrested Junri Manlunas a.k.a. MAX, PSR listed, member of SYP16B, GF16, SRC, Northland, NEMRC, 24, a resident of Purok-4, Brgy. Trinidad, Surigao City.
COPLAN “imvudo” led to the arrest of Manlunas thru Multiple Warrants of Arrest for Attempted Murder under Criminal Case Nos. 15544, 15545, 15548, 15549, 15550 and 15551 dated July 15, 2021 with recommended bail bond of Php120,000.00; Direct Assault with Attempted Murder under Criminal Case Nos. 14704, 14705 and 14706 dated January 31, 2020 with recommended bail of Php72,000.00 and Direct Assault with Frustrated Murder under Criminal Case Nos. 14702 and 14703 dated January 31, 2020 with recommended bail of Php120,000.00 all issued by 10th Judicial Region, RTC, Branch 29, Surigao City.
The Joint Buy-bust Operation SSNPPO DEU, SCPS-DEU, SDN PFU CIDG and PDEA SDN led to the arrest of Romeo P. Elumba, 51, resident of P- 3, Brgy Togbongon, Surigao City. Suspect was listed as Street level Individual of SDN.Confiscated items include plastic sachet of suspected Shabu, cellular phone, one roll aluminum foil, scissors, plastic cellophane and record book.The body search was done in an orderly manner and duly witnessed by Brgy Kagawad of Brgy Taft, Surigao City, Media Representative and DOJ representative, Surigao City Prosecutor Office.
While Lester M. Madredijo aka Jerome, 24, resident of Purok 3, Brgy Cayawan member of SYP16B, GF16 NEMRC, resident of Malimono, SDN surrendered to SDNPIU in Brgy. Hanagdong, Malimono, SDN. During the custodial debriefing interview, the former rebel revealed that he joined the CTG on July 2017, became a full time party member after three months and eventually became a Team Leader of Platoon 1 of SYP16B, under the leadership of Pablo Lugatiman aka Lucas. Subject is now under the custody of SDNPPO for further evaluation of PSWD for ECLIP enrollment.
PCOL ESPINOZA called on the criminally intent individuals to halt their actions saying that, ” the criminals are bound to face the consequences of their actions for the PNP personnel of Surigao del Norte are serious in their duty as they continue on with different Law Enforcement Operations to drive out people who pose as a threat to the peaceful life the Surigaonons are craving for”.
