Vehicular accident transpired at MCLL Highway of Sitio Basagan, Brgy. Curuan, Zamboanga City at about 12:15 PM of October 5, 2020, involving one-unit Isuzu Elf, bearing plate number Maj 5524, driven by Jan Niko Bade Solito, 28 years old, male, married and a resident of Brgy. San Nicolas, Siraway, Zamboanga Del Norte and one-unit FUSO 10-wheeler truck, bearing temporary plate number 090701, driven by Reynel Labasantos Gagantin, 32 years old, male, married and a resident of Sitio Udjung, Brgy. Bunguiao, Zamboanga City.
Investigation conducted revealed that prior to the accident, both vehicles were travelling on opposite direction and upon reaching the aforementioned place of accident said FUSO 10-wheeler truck accidentally hit the rear portion of said Isuzu Elf causing it to lose control and swerved into a sari-sari store owned by Erwin Angeles Carzada.
Further, both drivers were held under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 2 for proper disposition. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
