Be informed that on or about 1:00 in the afternoon of September 1, 2020, Dipolog City Police Station (CPS) received a report from a concerned citizen that there was a suicide incident at Purok Violeta, Brgy. Estaka, Dipolog City, wherein the victim identified as Sherwin Panganiban Chiong, 35 years old, and a resident of said place.
Investigation conducted disclosed that the lifeless victim was found by his relatives hanging by the used of belt tied on his neck and the other end tied on the branch of Water Apple tree (Tambis).
Further, his sister Nanette Panganiban Chiong, 27 years old revealed that her brother had already attempted to commit suicide three (3) times but he was immediately rescued. Furthermore, the victim was taking medicine in maintenance of his depression.
The cadaver of the victim was turned-over to his relatives and now lies at Saint Peter Funeral Homes located at Padre Ramon Street, Estaka, Dipolog City.
