Be informed at about 6:30 PM of January 05, 2021, personnel from DENR CENRO Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte led by Norberto M. Paler, Forest Ranger, and PNP personnel of Tampilisan Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by PEMS Jordan B. Dacules, MESPO, conducted joint anti-illegal logging operation at Brgy. Molos, Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte and successfully intercepted one unit white Mitsubishi Canter, with plate number, FEM 327 loaded with Acacia Mangium lumber total of 412 board feet estimated value of ₱ 20,615 and 18 sacks of wood charcoal estimated value of ₱ 2,160.00 no pertinent papers presented during the verification.
Thereafter, suspects identified as Jesus B Bustamante, 58 years old, married, driver, Sanny Bularon, 32 years old, married, Jimuel Sumaoy, 20 years old, single, and Roel R Catili, 39 years old, married were both residence of Overview, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte were arrested and brought to Tampilisan MPS while the Mitsubishi Canter as well as the Acacia Lumber, and wood charcoal was brought to DENR CENRO, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte for proper disposition.(PLtCol.
