Report On Anti-Illegal Drug Operation At Purok 8 B, Brgy. Biasong, Dipolog City

Be informed that on or about 9:30 PM of November 18, 2020, intelligence operatives/City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of Dipolog City Police Station (CPS) led by PLTCOL. GILZEN NIÑO R. MANESE – COP, conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok 8 B, Brgy. Biasong, Dipolog City and successfully arrested one Norwin Bitoy Tayrus, 23 years old (November 13, 1997), male, single, DI Watch listed, High School Level, market vendor and a resident of Brgy. Biasong, Dipolog City.

Confiscated during the operation were four (4) pcs. medium size of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing dried leaves of believed to be Marijuana; one (1) pc. big size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing dried leaves of believed to be Marijuana; one (1) pc. Five Hundred Peso bill (₱ 500.00) bearing serial no. NZ118288 served as buy bust money; one (1) pc. open transparent cellophane serve as container of Marijuana. Also declared in the presence of the witnesses and arrested suspect is one (1) pc. big size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing dried leaves of believed to be Marijuana bought by the poseur buyer from the arrested suspect as buy-bust evidence. Estimated street value of confiscated illegal drugs amounting to Fifteen Thousand Pesos (₱ 15,000.00).

Proper inventory, markings and body searched was done at the place of arrest in the presence of Hon. Jose Roy C. Calibo – Elected Public Official; Mr. Rosevelt Mondinido – Media representative and Mrs. Merlinda Tenorio – DOJ representative.

Suspect was brought to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (SOCO) for drug testing together with the pieces of drug evidence for chemical examination and weighing at the said office while the non-drug evidence was safe keep at Dipolog CPS for court exhibit.

Suspect was informed of his constitutional rights as an arrested person and was also brought to the hospital for medical examination and now under the custody of the said station pending filing of formal complaint. Cases for violation of RA 9165 were being readied for filing in court against the suspect.
