PUI Patient Died In A Hospital In Zamboanga, Awaiting Confirmation If Positive – CHO

The City Health Office announced Sunday afternoon that the patient who passed away at a local hospital is not a confirmed Covid-19 case yet, pending the results of the test from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).

City Heath Officer Dr. Dulce Miravite, announced at a press conference at City Hall Sunday  afternoon the death of the 57 year old female patient is not a confirmed case of Covid-19, while waiting for the test result from RITM.

Miravite claimed the patient died due to Acute Respiratory Disease.

The patient, F57 was considered patient under investigation after it was confined at a local private hospital earlier over the week.

The daughter of the patient was also placed under monitoring, for having a travel history from an affected Covid-19 place.

Miravite claimed, the members of the family of the patient including “those who were in close contact with the patient are on home quarantine and isolation.

“We are in crucial times, thus, we appeal to the public anew to please stay home and be safe.  Support and cooperate with the government in the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine,” Miravite appeaed.

Patient F57 was buried yesterday and her coffin was sealed.
