Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Purok Petrotex, Poblacion, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 11:59 PM of September 3, 2021. Victim was identified as Michael Lorejo, 30 years old, male, and a resident of Purok Gemelina, Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay while one suspect was identified as Dodong Roxas and three other unidentified malefactors. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim and the suspects were having a drinking spree at Pochick Resto Grill when a heated argument ensued, and while the victim and one Renan Dela Peña are riding their motorcycle towards Sanito, suddenly, one of the suspects blocked their way and without any apparent reason, stabbed the victim hitting directly his abdomen. After the incident, the suspects fled the scene on board one vehicle (Bonggo) waiting at the opposite side of the road heading towards R.T. Lim and while on the process of escaping, said vehicle bumped the motorcycle of the Renan Dela Peña. The victim was brought to Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Hospital for immediate medical attention while personnel of Ipil Municipal Police Station are still conducting follow-up operation for the arrest of the suspects.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at Purok Gumamila, Barangay Camanga, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur at 10:50 PM of September 3, 2021. Victim was identified as Alfredo Dial Artap, 63 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of the said place while suspect/s is/are unidentifed. Investigation disclosed that the suspect allegedly shot the victim from outside of their window and fled immediately into the dark portion of the corn field. Victim was immediately rushed to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center for medication while Tukuran Municipal Police Station is still conducting hot pursuit operation for the arrest and identification of the suspect.
Man Dead in Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident in Tigbao
A motor vehicle traffic accident transpired at Purok 1, Barangay Tigbao, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur at 7:30 PM of September 3, 2021 involving a green/black Honda XRM 125 driven by Ignacio Lepasana, 40 years old, male, married, resident of Sitio Gapo, Tigbao, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur; and a black Honda CB 125 driven by Virgilio Baclado, 47 years old, male, and a resident of Barangay Diplo, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur with passengers Rowena Apiag and Daisy Apiag. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, both vehicles were travelling in opposite direction and upon reaching place of incident, the vehicles accidentally had head-on collision. Drivers and passengers of both vehicles sustained multiple injuries and were immediately rushed to Tigbao Rural Health Unit for immediate medical treatment then transported to Aisah Medical Center, Pagadian City for medication. The driver of Virgilio Baclado was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician Dr. Sherry Joy Vicente. Vehicles incurred damages and are now temporarily under the custody of Tigbao Municipal Police Station for proper disposition
Murder Suspect Arrested in Dumalinao
PNP personnel of Dumalinao Municipal Police Station together with Dumingag Municipal Police Station conducted joint law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok 3, Barangay Dulop, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur at 1:15 PM of September 3, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Benjie Albarico Belen, 35 years old, single, farmer, residing at Purok 3, Barangay Dulop, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur. He was arrested for the crime of Attempted Murder docketed under criminal case number 12968-2k16, issued by Hon. Benjamin Lanzaderas, Acting Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 21, Pagadian City, dated July 8, 2016 with recommended bail bond fixed at one hundred twenty thousand pesos (120,000.00). He is now under the custody of Dumalinao Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
