Rape Suspect Arrested in Zone 1
PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Varela Street, Barangay Zone 1, Zamboanga City at 3:15 PM of September 19, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Danilo Oblina y Alvarez, 63 years old, male, married of Chino Drive, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under criminal case no. 46631 for Anti-Rape Law of 1997 (RA 8353) Art. 266-A of the Revised Penal Code as amended, issued by the Presiding Judge, Peter V Eisma, 9th Judicial Region, Br.15, RTC, Zamboanga City dated September 16, 2021 with recommended bail bond of ₱ 200,000.00. He is presently detained at Zamboanga City Reformatory Center located at Varela Street, Barangay Zone 1, Zamboanga City.
Pedestrian Dead in Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident in Margosatubig
A vehicular accident transpired at Sitio Lumahan, Barangay. Tiguian, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur at 7:15 PM of September 19, 2021. Involving a pedestrian identified as Catalino Carnabal Badlis, 64 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of Sitio Lumahan, Barangay Tiguian, Margosatubig Zamboanga del Sur; and one unit red Honda XRM, driven by Private Erek Esic Coraza, 23 years old, single, male, member of Philippine Army, presently assigned at 15th Phil. Marine Corp. Jolo, Sulu and a resident of Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Kapatagan, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, subject motorcycle Honda XRM was traversing from Pagadian City going to Vincenzo Sagun Municipality, and upon reaching at the National Highway of Barangay Tiguian, Margosatubig, the motorcycle accidentally hit the said pedestrian/victim who was walking on his way home. As a result, the pedestrian sustained serious injury and was brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. The driver of the Honda XRM voluntarily surrendered and is now under the custody of Margosatubig Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
