CHO Records 410 Cases Of COVID-19 Breakthrough Infection

The City Health Office (CHO) has recorded 410 Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) breakthrough infection as of March 2021 the month when the Covid-19 vaccination started in this city.

Dr. Dulce Amor D. Miravite, City Health Officer,  said of the 410 cases 178 got their first dose of Covid vaccine while 232 were fully vaccinated.

There were also five deaths recorded two fully vaccinated while three got their first dose of the vaccine.

Of the deaths, Miravite said those who died have other comorbidities.

The rest of the patients experienced mild to moderate symptoms and now fully recovered.

Breakthrough infection is described by health officials as someone found with SARS-CoV-2 in their system 14 days after completing their single- or two-dose COVID-19 vaccine.

Fully vaccinated means that they already got the two doses of vaccines and 14 days after their second dose.

In Zamboanga City, more than 261,147 were already vaccinated of the number more than 154,067 got the first dose while more than 107,080 got the second dose. They were vaccinated at the different vaccination centers in the city.

Vaccines available in the city are Astrazeneca, Sinovac, Jansen, Sputnik V, Moderna, and Pfizer.
