Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Barangay Sioran, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte at 9:15 PM of July 19, 2021. Victim was identified as Charlito Carnalna Saranggaya, 54 years old, married while suspect was identified as Arca Almada Almada, 30 years old, married, farmer, both are residents of Busyawan, Barangay Sioran, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte. Investigation disclosed that at about 5:00 PM of the same date, while the victim was outside his house, the suspect approached and confronted him if he reported to the authority the alleged physical abuse he did to his daughter who is also the granddaughter of the victim. The victim replied in affirmative, this prompted the suspect to suddenly stab the victim several times. The victim sustained nine (9) stab wounds. Seven (7) of which are on his right arm, one (1) on his right waist and one (1) on right side below his armpit. The victim was rushed to Liloy Integrated District Hospital for medical attention while the responding team is conducting hot pursuit operation for the arrest of the suspect.
Another Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Purok Ilaw, Barangay Limamawan, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur at 9:55 PM of July 18, 2021. Victim was identified as Vicky Gutierez Inorsua, 39 years old, male, married, self-employed, and a resident of Purok Ilaw, Barangay Limamawan, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur. He was allegedly stabbed by his elder brother, Ricky Gutierez Inorsua, legal age, married and a resident of the same place. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, both victim and suspect along with other friends were having a drinking spree at the house of Reynald Obañana Biason. While on the course of their drinking session, a heated altercation ensued between them that prompted the suspect to stab the victim using a knife hitting on his abdomen. The victim was brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for treatment, while suspect immediately fled after the incident. PNP personnel of Margosatubig Municipal Police Station is still conducting thorough investigation and follow-up operation to locate and arrest the suspect, while appropriate charge is now being prepared for filing in court. The motive of the incident is believed to be personal grudge.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at Sitio Tinago, Barangay Poblacion, Talusan, Zamboanga Sibugay at 9:20 AM of July 18, 2021. Victim was identified as Haber Sabaani Jimlani, male, 21 years old, single, fisherman, while suspect was identified as Jemar Abdula Modan, 38 years old, married, businessman, both are residents of the said place. Investigation revealed that prior to the incident, the victim went home from fishing on board his motorized pump boat, he was preparing to dock it beside their house on a coastal area, suddenly, the suspect appeared and shot the victim twice using an unknown caliber pistol. Victim sustained two (2) gunshot wounds on the buttocks and right ankle and was rushed to Talusan Health Center for treatment. Suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. Motive of incident is yet to be determined. PNP personnel of Talusan Municipal Police Station is conducting follow-up operation for the arrest of the suspect.
Another Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired along the National Highway of Barangay Lower Lux, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte at 11:10 PM of July 18, 2021. Victim was identified as Marlon Ongo Manisig, 60 years old, married, farmer, high school level, former Barangay Captain and resident of Barangay Canuto Enerio, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte while suspects are unidentified. Initial investigation revealed that prior to the incident, the victim was travelling from Gutalac to Labason riding on his red/white Honda XRM 125 motorcycle, upon reaching the place of incident, he was allegedly fired upon by unidentified perpetrator/s on board a black Toyota Hilux using a cal. 5.56 firearm based on the empty shells recovered from the crime scene. The suspects fled towards Labason Municipality. Victim was brought by the responding team to Labason Emergency Hospital for medical attention but was declared dead on arrival by the attending Physician, Dr. Alfie Alcala Ferolin. PNP personnel of Gutalac Municipal Police Station is still conducting hot pursuit operation for the identification and arrest of the suspects.
Hacking Incident
A hacking incident transpired at Purok 2, Barangay Bagumbayan, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga del Norte at about 10:00 AM of July 18, 2021. Victim was identified as Jeffrey Pepito, male, 33 years old, married, while the suspect was identified as Rolly Angga Daano, 40 years old, married, male, farmer, both are residents of Purok 2, Barangay Bagumbayan, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga del Norte. Investigation revealed that at about 10:00 AM of July 18, 2021, the victim was on his corn field when the suspect arrived, the two were having a conversation but when the victim turned his back, he was suddenly hacked by the suspect using a bolo. Victim sustained hacked wounds on his head and on the different parts of his body, while the suspect ran towards the hinterlands of the said Barangay, upon sensing that suspect was gone, he started to walk heading towards Barangay Hall. He was brought to Sergio Osmena Rural Health Unit for medication and was further brought to Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center. Motive of the incident is believed to be personal grudge. Sergio Osmeña Municipal Police Station is now conducting hot pursuit operation for the arrest of the assailant.
Man Dead in Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident in Talisayan
A vehicular incident transpired at Purok 2, Barangay Talisayan, Zamboanga City at 9:50 PM of July 18, 2021 involving a dropside truck with plate number RHC-286 registered under YL Fishing Corporation driven by Jestoni Venancio y Salas, male, married, 29 years old of Barangay Recodo, Zamboanga City and a Motoposh motorcycle with temporary plate no. 0901-0407406 driven by Jonard Bulat-ag y Solis, male, single, 25 years old, employee of YL Fishing Corp of Zone 1, Lapaz, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the truck and the motorcycle were travelling along the road in an opposite direction, upon reaching the place of incident, the truck encroached to the lane of motorcycle which resulted in a head on collision. Due to the impact, the motorcycle was pinned beneath the front portion of the truck. As a result, both vehicles incurred damages while driver of motorcycle sustained fatal injury and was rushed to Zamboanga City Medical Center by the ambulance of Barangay Talisayan. He was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Men Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in San Roque
Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 1 together with Zamboanga City Drug Enforcement Unit conducted drug buy-bust operation at Zone 1, Sta Teresita, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City at 10:05 PM of July 18, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Julhamin Sabturani y Husnol a.k.a. “Kokey”, 28 years old, male, single, pedicab driver, elementary level and a resident of Salamat Village, San Roque, Zamboanga City and Angelo Delos Reyes Arcillas “Nong Nong”, 19 years old, male, single, construction worker, high school level of Lumiyap, Barangay Divisoria, Zamboanga City. Confiscated from their possessions were five (5) sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of ₱ 1,600.00 weighing 0.23 grams, one (1) sachet of suspected Marijuana with standard drug price of ₱ 100.00 weighing 0.83 grams and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. They are now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 1 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Pagadian City
Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Pagadian City Police Station together with Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9 conducted illegal drug buy-bust operation at Purok Riverside, Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City at 11:50 PM of July 18, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Marjhonie Montejo Hinoguin, 30 years old, married and a resident of the said place. Seized during the operation were one-piece small size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Shabu as a buy-bust evidence; thirteen sachets of suspected Shabu (possession); one piece of Malboro cigarette pack; and one piece five hundred peso (₱ 500.00) as marked money. The estimated weight of seized drugs is 1.00 grams with standard drug price of ₱ 6,800.00. Arrested suspect is now temporarily under the custody of Pagadian City Police Station for booking and proper disposition while a case for Violation of Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 also known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” is being prepared for filing in court.
Men Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Naga
PNP personnel of Naga Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok 8, Barangay Crossing Sta. Clara, Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay at 10:05 AM of July 18, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Dison Balberde Agraviador, “aka Ganggang”, male, married, 35 years old at Barangay Aguinaldo, Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Anthony Heducos Ronie, male, married, elementary graduate, laborer, 37 years old at Purok 1, Barangay Aguinaldo, Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay and a resident of the said place. Recovered from his possession were four (4) small sachets of suspected Shabu (possession), one (1) piece small sachet of suspected Shabu (buy-bust item) with an estimated weight of 0.431 gram and standard drug price of P2,900.00, one (1) piece 500.00 peso bill (marked money), three (3) pieces 20.00 peso bill, two (2) small pouches, one (1) black Samsung bar phone, one (1) blue lighter and one (1) piece aluminum foil. Arrested person and confiscated items were brought to Naga MPS for proper disposition.
