Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired along the Sea Waters of Barangay Arena Blanco, Zamboanga City at 12:55 PM of April 10, 2021. The victim was identified as Albabon Albani, 75 years old, male, married, seaweeds farmer and a resident of Barangay Arena Blanco, Zamboanga City. Investigation revealed that prior to the incident, at about 7:30AM of April 10, 2021, said victim was harvesting his agar-agar at the sea water more or less 1km from the sea shore of Barangay Arena Blanco, Zamboanga City on board his “Bangka”. Thereafter, two (2) unidentified persons onboard on a motorized pump boat shot the victim causing him to fall into the seawater. Suspect/s fled towards Sibago Island or Basilan Province after the commission of the crime. Victim sustained gunshot wounds on his face and chest which resulted to his instantaneous death. Further, police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 are still conducting thorough investigation to determine the motive and the identity of the suspect/s.
Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Labuan
Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 10 conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Purok 2, Barangay Labuan, Zamboanga City at 2:15 PM of April 10, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Marvin Naigar y Soriño, 26 years old, male, married, laborer, college level, and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Labuan, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were five (5) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 2, 000.00 weighing 0.29 grams, one (1) empty pack bravo cigarette and one (1) piece of ₱ 200.00 bill as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 10 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
