A policeman in the Municipality of Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay was unlucky when his colleague
shot him dead inside Titay Municipal Police Station, located at Purok Acacia, Brgy. Pob. Titay on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at around 9 in the evening.
The deceased police officer was PCpl. Jorge Dick Baltazar, 30, assigned at the said police station, while Patrolman Laurence Joseph Ancheta, 38, was on duty that night.
The person of interest said the victim was just wearing civilian clothes, a jacket with a hood, when he came to the station.
The suspect asked the victim to bring in their security password but instead played around pretending to pullout his weapon, reason that the suspect was alarmed and undoubtedly drew his gun and fired several times.
The victim sustained injuries on his shoulder and abdomen and was tried to be brought to Zamboanga City but lost his life on the way.
Jorge is not detained at Titay Municipal Police Station while investigation is still on-going.
