Police Regional Office12 – Joint elements of Maasim Municipal Police Station led by PCPT HERMAN J LUNA, OIC; operatives of Sarangani Police Police Office led by PMAJ NORIEL U LACANGAN; 1204th RMFB; and PDEA conducted entrapment operation (Buy-bust) particularly at Sitio Badak Bgry. Seven Hills, Maasim, Sarangani Province against Reynaldo Sialana Sokwahi At around 12:30 PM of March 31,2020.
Sokwahi is 30-year old farmer, married and a resident of Sitio San Roque, Bgry. Malbang, Maasim Sarangani Province.
With the help of an informant, said operatives were able to prearrange the apprehension of said suspect. At the agreed place and time of transaction, the poseur buyer was able to buy One (1) piece of crumpled newspaper containing suspected dried marijuana leaves, stalks and seeds worth two hundred pesos (200). Thereafter suspect was successfully arrested when poseur buy threw the signal. Standard search procedure then followed after which was conducted with the presence of Local Officials of Brgy. Seven Hills and media practitioner from DXRG 96.7 leading to the recovery of marked money in the possession and control of the suspect.
Recovered from the suspect were two (2) hundred bills and one crumpled newspaper containing suspected marijuana.
Arrested suspect was informed his constitutional rights and was subjected to medical/physical examination. Meanwhile, the pieces of evidence recovered were brought to Regional Crime Laboratory Office (RCLO) for qualitative Examination.
As for Sokwahi, he is now placed under the custody of Maasim MPS for proper disposition.
