PNP Caraga Responds To 47 Citizens’ Complaints Thru ‘E-Sumbong’

Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City –  Police Regional Office (PRO)13 has responded to 47 complaints raised by the citizens through complaint referral and monitoring system dubbed as ‘E-Sumbong’ from May 17-July 5, 2021.

Most of the complaints stemmed from the need of police assistance, reports on illegal activities like illegal gambling, and complaints against PNP personnel.

“Each complaint is checked manually by designated PNP personnel from the Regional Community Affairs Development Division and will be eventually forwarded to the concerned police station or office for swift action. The unit commander can also monitor the system,” PRO13 Director BGEN. ROMEO M. CARAMAT, JR. said.

He also urged the Caraganons to report any complaint through hotline numbers: 0919-160-1752 (Smart); and 0917-847-5757 (Globe) or may also be forwarded to the email address: e-sumbong@pnp.govph or through social media PNP Hotline and web portal (https://e-sumbong.pnp.gov.ph).

The project is among the PNP Chief GENERAL GUILLERMO LORENZO T. ELEAZAR’S priority programs when he assumed as the country’s top cop.

Meanwhile, the public is advised to exercise caution and report only legitimate complaints or concerns. Pranks will not be tolerated and will be acted upon by the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG).
