A total of 7,772 additional Covid-19 cases were logged by the Department of Health on Saturday, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 2,713,509.
There were also 1,634 recoveries and 156 deaths recorded.
Of the total number of infections, 3.1 percent (85,048) are active cases, 95.4 percent (2,587,881) have recovered, and 1.50 percent (40,580) have died.
Fifty-five duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 41 are recoveries.
Moreover, 81 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation
All laboratories were operational on October 14, 2021 while 1 lab was not able to submit its data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System.
Based on data in the last 14 days, the 1 non-reporting lab contributes, on average, 0.1 percent of samples tested and 0.1 percent of positive individuals.
