Tiniyak ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na walang dayaang magaganap sa nalalapit na 2022 presidential elections.
Ayon sa pangulo, determinado siya na magkaroon ng malinis at maayos na eleksyon.
“Ang politiko mahirap na magdaya nitong 2022 with the kind of brightness that we are about to experience. Meron na tayong energy. Ang kailangan nalang natin yung mga politiko na nagpuputol ng kuryente. You know, it’s a too far away to be speculating on I’ve been talking about but I’am on my way out. What can I assure you ladies and gentlemen, that it will be a clean election during my time,” ani Pangulong Duterte.
Aniya, sa natitira niyang taong bilang pangulo ay nais niyang makatiyak na kung sino man ang susunod na presidente ng bansa ay iyong talagang ibinoto ng taumbayan.
Kaugnay nito, sinabi rin ni Pangulong Duterte na sa oras na matapos ang kaniyang termino ay agad na siyang bababa sa puwesto.
“I will not allow anybody, friend or foe, alliances with us on the other side. It will be equal treatment for all and what I can assure you is that I’m warning and I did it last election when I said do not mess the election. Allow the Filipino to vote freely and the votes counted correctly. At these early, I’m not entering into any alliances that would derail the elections. You can be sure that I will be out of office and I will not stay even a minute longer when my term ends,” ani Pangulong Duterte.
