The re-electionist city mayor of Pagadian is now looking forward to a referendum, he told the local media that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte sign already an executive order to make Pagadian as a chartered city like Zamboanga if the result of the said referendum is positive there will an election for a congressman that will represent the city as a new district which is not under the province of Zamboanga del Sur.
There is a rumor that his opponent in the last election will run for congress against his son. There is no confirmation yet but in public places like terminals, restaurants, and barber shops people were talking about these things .
