P4.3-M worth of marijuana bricks seized, courier collared

Tabuk City, Kalinga- Thirty-five pieces of marijuana bricks weighing 36.602 kilos with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P4,392,240.00 were seized by the patrolling officers of Tabuk City Police Station.

PCOL Davy Vicente M Limmong, Provincial Director of Kalinga PPO, reported that personnel of Tabuk CPS while conducting regular patrolling at Bagumbayan, Tabuk City, and a yellow motorbike without plate number overtook their vehicle unfortunately; it stumbled and fell on the shoulder of the road.

Patrolling officers immediately stopped to assist the victim, while assisting the victim, one of the police officers noticed some bricks of suspected dried marijuana from the partially opened bag of the rider.

The police officers confiscated the said marijuana bricks then an on-site inventory was conducted in the presence of the representatives from DOJ, Media, and elected barangay officials of Bagumbayan.

The rider was later identified as Jayvie P Saguilot, 19 years old and a resident of Barangay Loccong in Tinglayan, Kalinga.

Mr. Saguilot and the confiscated marijuana bricks were brought to Tabuk CPS for documentation and proper disposition. Courtesy of PROCOR RPIO
