P3.5 million grant to boost healthcare in Surigao city with mobile X-ray System Donation

The Consulate-General of Japan in Davao is extending a generous grant of P3.5 million (USD 65,867) to enhance healthcare services in Surigao City by donating a state-of-the-art Mobile X-Ray System.

The grant contract between the Consulate-General of Japan in Davao and the Local Government Unit of Surigao City solidifies their commitment to improving medical facilities and patient care in the region.

The project is set to bring vital diagnostic capabilities closer to the people of Surigao City and Surigao del Norte.

City Mayor Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II, who is currently in Davao City for the signing of this landmark agreement, expressed profound gratitude to the Consulate-General of Japan in Davao for this invaluable contribution to the city’s healthcare system.

The Mayor emphasized the significance of this donation, stating that it will make a substantial difference in the lives of Batang Surigaonons.

With the goal of fostering collaboration between Japan and Surigao City, this initiative aligns with the Consulate-General of Japan’s mission to support projects that directly benefit local communities.

The Mobile X-Ray System is expected to significantly enhance the city’s healthcare infrastructure, ensuring that residents have access to advanced diagnostic tools for timely and accurate medical assessments.

City Health Officer Dr. Benjielita P. Notada also expressed her gratitude for the donation that will greatly help their health services and programs.
