Almost 1,000 PWDs, seniors, solo parents, pregnant women and women groups benefited from free medical services extended by the City Government and Mercury Drug Foundation, Inc. in celebration of its 79th Foundation Anniversary today at Iriga City Sports Center, Sta. Cruz Sur, Iriga City.
The Kafuerte Healthcare Team of Cong Migz Villafuerte and the provincial government headed by Gov. Luigi Gov Luigi Villafuerte also joined the said medical mission together with the City Health Office. Cong. Migz Villafuerte himself was present to support the event.
Adding to the significance of the activity were the presence of Mercury Drug President Ronaldo Ranada and Unilab’s Randy Endrino, whose leadership and support underscored the importance of corporate social responsibility.
This activity is one of the advocacies of Mayor Rex Oliva that is to focus on improving healthcare infrastructure and making health services more accessible, especially to the underserved sectors of society.
Some of the services availed of were free medicine and free medical services such as consultation, tooth extractions, x-rays, and more.
