The Cordillera police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency strengthen operation against marijuana resulted in the discovery of new plantation sites in two towns in the region.
Over 1, 050 fully grown marijuana plants with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P210, 000.00 planted in an estimated land area of 300 sq. meters.
The composite PNP and PDEA units led by PCPT John Paul P Colangan, acted on the info of a marijuana plantation at an area located along the boundary of brgys Lacnog, Kalinga and Minagbag, Quezon, Isabela in the afternoon of May 28.
The uprooted marijuana plants were burned onsite.
On the following day May 29, joint personnel of Kibungan MPS, PIB and PDEU of Benguet PPO and PDEA-CAR led by PCPT Douglas M Akistoy, Jr., COP, conducted marijuana eradication at Sitio Lamagan, Tacadang, Kibungan that resulted in the discovery and destruction of 100 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants planted on a 200sqm lot and with DDB value of P20, 000.00.
No persons were arrested during the operations.
