Police personnel of Kumalarang Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested a 24-year old man after he was caught in possession of firearm at his residence in Purok Levi-1, Brgy. Diplo, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur at 9:00 AM of December 25, 2020.
PBGEN. Ronaldo Genaro E. Ylagan, PRO9 Regional Director identified the arrested as Mar-Jun Mahasanday Baludo, 24 years old, male, single, jobless and a resident of abovementioned place. he was arrested after the said police station received a report through cellphone call from concerned citizen that that the suspect who was armed with short firearm, got wild while under the influence of liquor at his residence.
Acting on the said report, PNP personnel of Kumalarang MPS led by PCpl. Diego Cespon Jr., immediately proceeded to the reported place of incident and successfully arrested the subject person.
Recovered from his possession and control were one-unit caliber .45 pistol (loose firearm) loaded with one ammunition. He is now under the temporary custody of Kumalarang MPS for proper disposition. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
