Long time Iriga City Employees honored for loyalty and given cash awards


Mayor Rex honored 67 employees who have served for several decades on Monday during the LGU Night 2023.

Aside from Certificates of Recognition, employees also received cash incentives. Mayor Rex also lauded the retirees who left the service this year.

Mayor Rex led the ceremonies for the Loyalty Service Award for 67 employees who have served for 10, 15, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years. Each received P500 per year of their service rendered.

Also present during the Awards Night were Atty. Maharlika Ramon Oaferina, Vice Mayor Edsel Dimaiwat and his Sangguniang Panlungsod members Konsi Dandreb Abonite, Melnan Murallo, Nikki Lagrimas, Jeff Tino, Jessie Abonite, Wilfranco Guevarra and Mitch Samarita.

This is the first time that the Loyalty Service Award was given to employees who have rendered 10 continuous years of public service.

In his message, Mayor Rex urged Vice Mayor Edsel and the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members to enact an enabling ordinance to institutionalize the Service Award System in the City Government of Iriga and provide funds for that purpose.

The Mayor was proud of the long service of the employees, and the award is his way of demonstrating his appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
