Posibleng minamanipula lamang ng mga drug syndicate ang nangyayaring iringan sa pagitan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Ito ang iginiit ni Customs Commissioner Isidro Lapeña matapos ibunyag ni PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino na posibleng nakalusot ang P6.8 bilyong halaga ng shabu.
Sinasabing ang nabangfgit na shabu ang laman ng mga natagpuang magnetic lifter sa GMA, Cavite.
“I now realized that both, I and PDEA Chief Aquino we have been misled mukhang scripted ang buong pangyayari. A script concocted by the same drug syndicates. A script that perhaps some actors on the syndicate are still following tpo this day. A stage drama to put the PDEA and BoC on a bitter war, while the enemy regroups. We should not fall to this cloak-and-dagger style of disinformation.” Pahayag ni Lapeña.
Kasabay nito iginiit ni Lapeña na kaisa siya at ang BOC sa pagsugpo sa iligal na droga.

For those people or groups working jointly to oust me, I know who you are. Let me reiterate, I am a man of honor and I will do everything, even offer my life to fulfill the marching order of the President to stop corruption and increase revenue collection.” Ani Lapeña.
