In a focused and decisive law enforcement campaign from January 12 to 18, 2026, the PRO 5 headed by PBGEN Erosito N Miranda, Acting Regional Director, captured a total of 106 wanted persons, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to public safety, peace, and order across the region.

The operations were conducted under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) reflecting a strategic, intelligence-driven approach to combat criminality at all levels. The apprehensions included one wanted person at the regional level, eight at the provincial level, two at the city level, twenty-three at the municipal level, and seventy-two others, demonstrating the comprehensive reach and effectiveness of the campaign.

PBGEN Miranda highlighted the significance of the week-long operations, emphasizing that every action by the PNP directly contributes to community protection. “Actions like these truly make a difference,” he said. “Each arrest and every disruption of illegal activities directly protects our families and communities. We stay focused, resolute, and committed in our mission because this is the standard the public rightfully expects from us.”

The operations also underscore the PNP’s alignment with the Focus Agenda of Acting Chief PNP PLTGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez, Jr., which envisions a ‘Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas’—a police force that is swift, honest, and felt by the people. “We will persist in these efforts, as every action we take reinforces public trust, upholds the rule of law, and promotes safer communities throughout Bicol.” PBGEN Miranda added.

The PRO 5 reminds the public that maintaining peace and order is a shared responsibility. The public are encouraged to remain vigilant, promptly report criminal activities, and cooperate with authorities to sustain the safety of their communities.

The success of these operations demonstrates that coordinated, decisive, and professional police action produces tangible results, reinforcing the PNP’s commitment to the safety, security, and well-being of all Bicolanos.
