In line with the 259th Town Fiesta of the Municipality of Goa, the Local Government Unit of Goa, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur through its Public Employment Service Office (Camsur Peso), concluded a Local and Overseas Job Fair on June 16, 2026, at the Goa Sports Complex, Goa, Camarines Sur. The event offered over 4,500 job vacancies.
The activity brought together 16 local companies and 10 government agencies — including OWWA, DMW, DOLE, DSWD, SSS, Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, the Philippine Identification System, Southeast Asian Institute of Computer Technology (SEAict), and CamSur PESO, which offered essential services to applicants. The Philippine Army was also present for those aiming to enlist as Candidate Soldiers (CS).
Among the 71 hired on the spot applicants was Mark Joseph Coros, 25, a recent graduate of Partido State University. He applied for a salesman position at Stance Sales and Distribution, and landed the job. As an Entrepreneurship graduate, Coros said he already had hands-on experience in promotion, having developed and sold products as part of his college coursework. During his free time, he also works as a market vendor.
When he saw the announcement for the job fair, he came prepared. “Sa mga company po, ang tiggibo ko po, nag-research ako kung ano pong mga pinag-o-offer ninda, tapos saka ‘yung mga requirements po, tig-asikaso ko na po.”
For Coros, landing a job right after graduation means being able to give back to his family. “Ang pagwo-work ko po, para po sana sa pamilya ko. Ta ang pinaka-priority ko po kaya, pangarap ko po para sa inda bago so pangarap [ko] para sako.”
He expressed gratitude to LGU Goa and CamSur PESO for organizing a job fair that allows fresh graduates and other job seekers to meet multiple employers in a single venue — saving both time and money.
