Iriga: DOLE Bicol grants Kabuhayan Starter Kits to 14 Balik-Probinsya beneficiaries

Camarines Sur – To help address the Metro Manila’s congested urban areas and encourage the informal and marginalized sectors to return to their home provinces, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bicol’s Balik-Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program (BP2) provided them with Kabuhayan Starter Kits (DKSK) to assist their livelihood recovery.

DOLE Bicol thru its Camarines Sur Provincial Office (CSPO) facilitated by Assistant Regional Director, Imelda E. Romanillos together with Senior LEO and Livelihood Focal, Ma. Cecilia T. Andalis spearheaded the distribution of livelihood starter kits to 14 BP2 beneficiaries, held at DOLE Cam Sur Provincial Office last March 15 and March 28, 2022,

Over ₱ 309,156.21 worth of starter packs was granted to the chosen beneficiaries which includes the six (6) beneficiaries from Batch 1 and another eight ( beneficiaries from Batch 2 to start their business ventures.

The said BP2 beneficiaries were endorsed to DOLE by the National Housing Authority (NHA) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and have undergone thorough evaluation to determine their eligibility.

Regional Director Ma. Zenaida A. Angara-Campita encouraged all the beneficiaries to sustain their source of livelihood and begin with hope as they recover through the given starter kits.

The Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program aims to provide hope for a better future to Filipinos through equity in resources throughout the country that will boost countryside development.
