The Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development, under the leadership of OIC Regional Director Dr. Rodolfo Antonio M. Albornoz, along with the Local Government Unit of Goa has inaugurated the newly established Super Health Center at Barangay Balaynan, Goa, Camarines Sur on May 14, 2024.
The said health center aimed to strengthen the healthcare system and improve access to primary care services in upland areas of Goa.
“Ito’y patunay ng ating sama-samang pagsisikap at malasakit sa kalusugan ng bawat isa sa ating komunidad” (This is proof of our collective effort and concern for the health of everyone in our community), Sen. Bong Go said in his video message.
Further, DOH Bicol expressed its commitment to fast-track the procurement of needed equipment to fully operationalize the facility.
The services that will be rendered includes outpatient consultations, TBDOTs, pharmacy, immunization, and family planning services, prenatal and postnatal services, animal bite treatment, and dental services.
Also present in the ceremony were the Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Alfredo P. Gonzaga III; Municipal Councilor Hon. Antolin P. Respall; Municipal Health Officer Dr. Diosdado G. Fuentebella; Provincial DOH Officer Dr. Rey J. Millena; DOH-DTTB Dr. Adrian Carlos V. Fajardo; Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Randy E. Angeles; barangay captains; and purok health workers.
