In line with the 2025 Women’s Month Celebration, the Department of Health (DOH) Bicol Center for Health Development participated in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Women’s Month Color fun Run on March 15, 2025 at the Legazpi Boulevard, Legazpi City.
This year’s “Takbo Para sa Kababaihan Year 2” emphasized the importance of promoting women’s empowerment and physical health. The proceeds of the event will be for the educational needs of former Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) and for the developmental programs of female PDLs in chosen jail facilities.
A total of 48 DOH Bicol personnel together with other government agencies, schools and organizations took part in the event. All runners, joggers and walkers of all ages wore their white shirts. As they made their way through the course, participants were showered with vibrant color powders creating a mesmerizing moment that was almost as fun to watch as it was to participate in.
The activity was also an opportunity for the community to come together and promote physical activity and camaraderie.
