The League of Local Youth Development Officers of the Philippines (LLYDOP) – Camarines Sur Chapter, in partnership with the Provincial Youth Development Office, held its First Quarter meeting at the CAMSUR EOC, Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur. The gathering, conducted in a hybrid setup, provided a vital platform for LYDOs to discuss updates, share best practices, and address pressing concerns affecting the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), LYDCs, and LYDOs across the province.
Key partners, including the National Youth Commission (NYC) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), joined the discussions to ensure alignment with national policies. Mr. Benito Lot Jr. O. Reyes of NYC shared critical updates on SK governance, including mandatory bookkeeping training, succession processes, financial management, and policy changes. Meanwhile, TESDA’s Acting Provincial Director, Mr. Roberto A. De Las Llagas, clarified concerns on financial training requirements and introduced an alternative bookkeeping course.
Highlighting the province’s strategic direction, Acting Provincial Youth Development Officer Mr. Valentine Joseph G. Sabareza presented the Provincial Youth Development Plan, emphasizing key priorities for youth empowerment. The meeting culminated in the election of new officers for the LLYDOP-Cam Sur Chapter, ensuring fresh leadership committed to further advancing youth development efforts.
With strengthened collaboration and proactive engagement, the LYDOs reaffirmed their dedication to equipping the youth sector with the necessary tools and opportunities to drive positive change in their communities.
