A total of seventy (70) families received relief items consisting of food packs, water, hygiene kits, and plastic mattresses through the Community Passion (ComPassion) Project spearheaded by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Association of Career Executives (DENR-ACE) on January 28, 2025 at Sitio Cabaya, San Roque, Bula, Camarines Sur.
The ComPassion Project is an initiative dedicated to helping communities affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine and Super Typhoon Pepito last year, focusing on addressing the immediate needs of Bicolano families and supporting sustainable community recovery.
In his message, Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla Jr. outlined the mission of the DENR, emphasizing the essential role residents play in protecting and conserving the environment.
He also called for their active participation and support in sustainability initiatives, highlighting the importance of community engagement in building resilience against the adverse effects of climate change, ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
Moreover, the Office remains optimistic and committed to undertaking more compassion-driven projects in the future, aiming to positively impact the community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
