The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, through EDMERO CAMSUR, officially concluded the Camarines Sur Resilience Festival 2026 with a culminating and awarding ceremony that celebrated the dedication, teamwork, and unwavering commitment of local government units, emergency responders, partner agencies, volunteers, students, and community stakeholders in advancing disaster resilience across the province.
Throughout the festival, participants took part in a series of activities designed to promote preparedness, leadership, and innovation in disaster risk reduction and management. The Resilience Olympiad, featuring the Animation Contest, Quiz Challenge, and Debate Competition, showcased the knowledge and creativity of the youth in promoting a culture of preparedness. The Resilience Kingdom and Future-Proof CamSur Youth Camp provided an interactive space where communities experienced disaster preparedness through engaging exhibits and educational activities, while the DRRM Basketball League fostered camaraderie, discipline, and teamwork among disaster response personnel.
One of the festival’s highlights was the 72-Hour Survival Challenge, which featured the Rescue M.A.R.C.H. Challenge – District 3 and the Incident Command and Response Challenge. These high-intensity simulations tested the endurance, technical skills, coordination, and decision-making abilities of emergency responders, reinforcing the province’s commitment to maintaining highly capable and well-prepared response teams.
The Camarines Sur Resilience Festival 2026 once again demonstrated that resilience is built not only through emergency response but through continuous learning, collaboration, innovation, and active community participation. By investing in capability-building and strengthening partnerships among government agencies, local government units, educational institutions, and the private sector, the Provincial Government continues to cultivate a culture where every Camarinense is empowered to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
Congratulations to all awardees, participating teams, partner agencies, volunteers, schools, and local government units whose passion and dedication made this year’s Camarines Sur Resilience Festival a remarkable success.
Together, we continue to prove that a united CamSur is a resilient CamSur always prepared, always ready, and always stronger together.
