Under the DOH Health Facility Enhancement Program-Management Office (HFEP-MO), the Bicol Medical Center (BMC), led by Dr. Ronnie Gregorio Gigantone III, Medical Center Chief II, held the groundbreaking ceremony of its 9-storey Cancer Institute on August 17, 2023, at the BMC Rd., Concepcion Pequeña, Naga City. Gracing the event was Asec. Leonita Gorgolon, HFEP-MO.
Implemented by the Department of Health (DOH), the HFEP aims to upgrade government hospitals and health facilities in provinces to provide superior healthcare services more accessible to the poor and the marginalized sector of society.
Along with the ceremonial groundbreaking event, new facilities and various projects were inaugurated and turned over to the medical center.
In line with BMC’s mission of providing the best quality of healthcare to Bicolanos, the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur is committed to giving its support to achieve inclusive healthcare not just for the people of Camarines Sur but for the whole Bicol region.
