The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office V – Bicol Region has begun loading 2,000 Family Food Packs (FFPs) for San Jose and 1,000 FFPs for Ocampo at the Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD) Warehouse in Pili, Camarines Sur.
This initiative forms part of the agency’s early-recovery operations in response to the devastation caused by Typhoon #UwanPH. The FFPs will be dispatched immediately to affected barangays to aid families as they rebuild and recover from the typhoon’s impact.
These relief efforts align with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., ensuring that all affected households receive adequate and timely government assistance.
In support of this mandate, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian continues to oversee nationwide operations, while Regional Director Norman S. Laurio leads on-the-ground initiatives to guarantee that food and non-food assistance, camp coordination, and protection services for internally displaced persons (IDPs) are efficiently delivered across the Bicol Region.
